Sangru Ram, a simple farmer, lost his wife a year ago. They had no children, and his family lives in Delhi. Struggling with loneliness, the elderly man decided to give life a new dimension and entered into a court marriage with 35-year-old Manbhavati.
Manbhavati was also grappling with her past. This was her second marriage, and she had three children from her first husband.
After the court marriage, the wedding rituals were performed in the village temple. Sangru Ram held Manbhavati’s hand, garlanded her with flowers, and promised a new beginning. The villagers found this relationship unusual, and many tried to stop it, but Sangru Ram remained firm in his decision.
On the wedding night, Sangru Ram and Manbhavati talked about their dreams. The next morning, Sangru Ram’s health suddenly deteriorated. He was declared dead before reaching the hospital.

As soon as Sangru Ram’s nephews living in Delhi learned of the incident, they demanded that the funeral be stopped.
